What Happened To… by Dave Dutton-Fraser Writer, Wizard, Former Criminal Mastermind

What happened to those
Blue haired old ladies
Who looked at me with
Disapproval in their eyes and
Disdain in their hearts
When I was a younger man.
“Look at him, what a disgrace”
They would whisper to each other.
“He’s stumbling and he smells
Like liquor and he’s drunk and
It’s only the middle of the day,
He has no future, not him.”
I would laugh and grin for
I didn’t believe in futures,
Not for me or even
Blue haired old ladies.
Now some times my sides hurt
And blood invades
My waste and vomit and
The blue haired old ladies
Have all gone
Away.
